ADVISORY BOARD

Prof. Dr. N Yathindra

Chair, Computational Biology, IBAB

Prof. N.Yathindra is a biophysicist and currently holds the ‘The Mazumdar-Shah Chair in Computational Biology’ at the Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB), Bengaluru, of which he was the Director from 2004 till early 2018.

Prior to this he was a professor at the University of Madras, from where he earned his PhD, and later joined it’s faculty after a 5 year post-doctoral tenure at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Before moving to Bengaluru, he served as the Chairman of the Department of Biophysics and Crystallography, Chairman of the Physical Sciences, and Dean (Academic) at the University of Madras.

He was a visiting scientist at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio and University of Trieste, Italy. He is a Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bengaluru.

Dr. R V Raghavendra

Managing Trustee, Ananya GML Cultural Academy

Dr. Raghavendra R V, comes with more than 40 years of managing business as Head and Managing Director of Geological and Metallurgical Laboratories (GML), an industrial test house for testing various industrial materials, accredited by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories ( NABL), Dept. of Science and Technology, New Delhi.

He is a gold medalist from Mysore University for his masters degree and a PhD in Geochemistry from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

He is currently a Managing Trustee of Ananya GML Cultural Academy (www.ananyaculture.in) popularly known as ‘Ananya’, a self funded, not-for-profit, cultural organization with the objective of promoting, propagating, and nurturing music, dance and visual forms of art, thereby helping to preserve the cultural heritage of this country.
